The teachers and students of the Arato High School and Nagai Technology High School along the railway, as well as the chairman Murata and volunteers of the Smile Project 100 executive committee, cleaned every corner of the cars.
The cars became so clean to shine, so the customers could feel good when they take the train. Thank you very much.

Activities has been held 4 times in the past to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Flower Nagai Line. The Smile Project executive committee was set up. Together with local people waving their hands to the trains, and with the thanks from Flower Nagai Line, the activities expressed the welcome to the tourists.
The activities also touched the citizen of the prefecture, and awarded the 8th Yamagata Scenery Prize of Community-building from Association of Corporate Executives.

With the corporation of Flower Nagai Line Festival Executive Committee, the event commemorating the opening of business was held at Miyauchi Station, Nagai Station and Arato Station. Performances such like wind music shows and stalls at each station made everyone enjoy the festival a lot.
Passengers could take the train by one coin (100 yen), and a lot of people used the trains.
